# Privacy policy

How Starbase Innovations handles the information you share on this website, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 30 October 2026.

## Who we are

This website, starbaseinnovations.in, is run by Team Starbase Private Limited ("Starbase Innovations", "we"), a company registered in Kozhikode, Kerala. We decide what information this website collects and why, so under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the data fiduciary for it.

This policy covers the website only. It does not cover Swastha, the software we build for waste operators. If you use Swastha and want to know how it handles data, write to us.

## What we collect

**What you type into a form.** Our forms (contact, investor enquiry, fleet booking, Phase 2 interest and scrap dealer interest) ask for what each form shows: usually your name and a phone number or email address, and depending on the form your organisation, district, panchayat or ward, pickup details or a message. Fields not marked as required are optional.

**Analytics, only if you accept it.** See "Cookies and analytics" below. If you reject analytics or ignore the banner, none of it loads.

**Technical details.** Like most websites, our servers receive your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for with each request. We use these only to deliver the page and keep the site secure.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as Aadhaar numbers, bank details or health information. Please don't put it in a form.

## Why we use it

- To reply to your message, arrange a vehicle you booked, or send the investor deck or set up a call you asked for.
- To call or WhatsApp you if we start Phase 2 in your area, when you registered your interest for that.
- If you accept analytics, to see which pages people use and where the site is hard to use, so we can improve it.
- To keep the website secure and working.

We use your information only for the purpose you gave it for. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising.

## Who we share it with

- **Amazon Web Services**, which hosts this website and stores its database and files in its Mumbai, India region.
- **The tool we use to manage enquiries.** Form submissions may be passed to it so the right person in our team can follow up.
- **Zoho**, which runs our email. If you write to us by email, your message is held there.
- **Google and Microsoft**, only if you accept analytics (see below). They may process this data outside India.
- **YouTube**, only if you press play on a YouTube video on this site. The player loads from youtube-nocookie.com at that point and not before.
- **Authorities**, when the law requires us to.

## Cookies and analytics

We set one cookie for every visitor: **sb\_consent** remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don't ask on every page. It holds only that choice, the date you made it and the policy version, and expires after 180 days.

Staff who sign in to the site's editor also get a sign-in cookie. Visitors don't.

If you choose **Accept analytics**, these tools load:

- **Google Tag Manager** loads the analytics tags below.
- **Google Analytics 4** counts visits and records the pages you view, how you reached the site, your device and browser type and your approximate location. It sets cookies named **\_ga** and **\_ga\_** followed by an ID. We keep Google Analytics data for two months, and we leave Google signals and ad personalisation off.
- **Microsoft Clarity** records how pages are used, such as clicks, scrolling and where people stop reading, and can replay a visit as a recording. We set it to mask everything you type, so form input is never recorded. It sets cookies named **\_clck**, **\_clsk** and **CLID**. Microsoft keeps Clarity data for the period it sets for the service.

We tell Google that analytics is allowed and that every advertising signal is refused.

**To change your mind**, choose **Cookie settings** at the bottom of any page. If you withdraw consent, we delete the analytics cookies and stop loading the tools. If we change the tools or this policy in a way that affects analytics, we ask everyone again.

## How long we keep it

We keep form submissions while we deal with your request and any follow-up you asked for. We delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose, or sooner if you ask, unless the law requires us to keep them for longer. Analytics data is kept as described above.

## Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to:

- give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you and what we do with it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- erase it;
- stop using it where you gave consent, by withdrawing that consent;
- act for someone you nominate if you die or are unable to act yourself.

To do any of these, or to make a complaint about how we handled your data, write to us at the email address below with "Privacy" in the subject line. We will reply as soon as we can and within the time the law sets. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

## Children

This website is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

## Security

The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Form submissions can be read only by signed-in staff whose role allows it, and the addresses that submissions are forwarded to can be seen and changed only by administrators.

## Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update this page and the date at the top.
